Join us for our 1st Annual Seminar: All Things Herbal 2023 for an incredible opportunity to learn more about herbs! Each of our three speakers will expand your herbal awareness with their expert insights. You’ll learn about using native plants and herbs in your landscape to add beauty, color, and fragrance while attracting birds, bees and other beneficials from Randy Forst, statewide coordinator for the Arkansas Master Gardener program. Bo Bennett of The Nurserie, a farm, garden center, and shop (in the former location of Horticare), will share the history, culture and lore of old world herbs. Our Key Presenter, Linda Franzo, owner of The Passionate Platter in Slidell, Louisiana, and 25-year member of The Herb Society of America will delight us with An Herbal Cocktail Garden, in which you will learn about using herbs and fruits from the garden to toast your guests with tissane tipples, shrubs, bitters, and liqueurs. Guests will have the opportunity to shop our herbal products and plant sale. There will also be sample tastings of some of our favorite herbal refreshments. There will be short breaks throughout, as well as an hour break for lunch. (No food is allowed in the auditorium. Tastings will be available in the reception hall during breaks.)
