Governor’s Vegetable Garden: 2202-04-18

Great day to work in the garden today!  There were 11 of us, and it looked so good when we were finished working.  Terry planted tomatoes.  Potatoes are growing; Al, Paul, and Collin mounded compost, leaves, and soil around the plants.  Carrots, lettuces, and peas and growing. Spinach is ready to pick.  The cabbage patch is lovely.  Charlie brought his drill and put up the rain gauge.  Amy, Jennifer, Lee Ann and Ann weeded, put down newspapers and pine straw around the tomatoes.  Charlie and Collin replanted beets where there were gaps in the rows and also put out red noodle beans on one of the trellises.  Amelia got some great pictures too.

Maybe spring is finally here.
