Master Gardeners’ Field Trip on April 16th: Larry Coleman’s Garden Adventure!

What a treat it was for those who joined us on April 16th to explore fellow Master Gardener Larry Coleman’s magnificent backyard garden in Batesville! Larry, a recognized figure in the Azalean Magazine, was the ultimate host and a fantastic tour guide through what can only be described as a well-loved and inspiring gardener’s park. His passion for trees was clear – the garden offered a delightful balance of shade and sunlight, showcasing a stunning collection of maples, azaleas, bamboo, Japanese pine, rhododendrons, and so much more, all enhanced by the soothing sounds of beautiful waterfalls. The thoughtful signage and clever license plate labels, filled with those inside jokes only gardeners truly appreciate, added a unique and personal charm to the experience.

If you missed this trip, you truly missed out on a special experience! However, there’s good news: a return visit to Larry’s garden is already a top request for next year, so be sure to mark your calendars!
