Old Mill: 2021-09-22

The Old Mill Master Gardeners had a workday on September 22, the first day of fall, and enjoyed the cool weather.

Monarch caterpillars found some of our milkweed and were feasting.

The beauty berries are covered with purple berries.

Blooming plants include spider lilies, Turk’s cap, Joe Pye weed, cutleaf rudbeckia, and Confederate rose.

And to show our appreciation to our partners at NLR Parks, we brought an assortment of snacks to take to them after the workday.
