The Old Mill Master Gardeners have been busy over the summer adding new shrubs and native perennial plants to the park including the newly constructed tiered garden by the waterfall. The City Parks have supported our efforts by improving the irrigation system to support the new landscaped area and providing mulch to decrease additional watering needs in the heat of the summer. We have enjoyed the many visitors who share stories of life events in the Park and complement the landscaping! Our own Master Gardener and Pulaski County Rookie of the Year Colin Galloway invited us to a Bonsai Class at the Nursery this summer. We all learned about the art of Bonsai and had a chance to start our own Bonsai tree/shrub to take away. If you haven’t been to the Nursery, It is a great place to visit and learn.
