We had a very productive workday on March 24 th. We had 13 folks come out on a cool MarchMadness morning Two of our new members were taken on a tour of the beds and they got a great introduction to Pinnacle weeding!
We got a lot of weeding and cutting of old foliage and stems – general clean .
There was a lot of “greening up” and new life appearing in the perennials in the beds. Most of the shrubs are still dormant.
Highlights were the Toadshade Wake-Robin Trillium (brownish flower), Wild Geraniums (blue flower), Mayapples and a really pretty little yellow Trout Lily at the Visitor Center garden. These are our wonderful spring ephemerals.
Our next workday is scheduled for April 14th.
