The Sherwood Senior Citizen Center Master Gardeners spent this growing season removing and rearranging plants and adding more perennials and less annuals. It was a struggle during the heat and drought to keep plants alive and growing due to problems with the irrigation system. But a schedule was created and volunteers stepped up to the plate to hand water keeping our plants alive and growing. A little whimsy was added to the garden this Fall. An ironing board lady was created by Mary Canada. The plan is to have a contest to name her by the members of the Sherwood Senior Center. Hopefully next year we can add a mate for her. We have a great hardworking group.
